I tend to be one and I think my overlying laziness is to control the underlying perfectionist just waiting to burst forth and "Martha" the whole frickkin world.

Um, just go with it, trust me, if you don't, the perfectionist will slowly start to become the beast within. So hey, it's the ******* hardest way to live for the first quarter century or so, but if you can replace feelings of lazziness with those of accomplishments, then maybe we are on to something. Cheers.

I don't think you'll be happy trying so hard to be a perfectionist. God created imperfection on purpose, so we could see that perfection is already in front of our eyes. I know that might sound stupid, but that's what I think.

maybe a perfectionist is an anti-virus just trying to turn the balance a little too hard when they were clearly born to be top class international programmer's ,so in frustration constantly trying to reprogram everything and everyone about them without even realising it-"In other's i can plainly see,but alway's I am blind to me !" so to speak-did i just say that!xanyway,if nobody's perfect, you better change your name !x

Perfectionism is a great defence mechanism - keeps our minds so busy with fixing all these things that we can avoid having any time or energy left to look at important issues in our own lives.

I'm trying not to be one, myself. We're in for a struggle, unfortunately. But, I have gotten better somewhat. Good luck with that.
