I really don't know what to do. He's younger than me. He even beats me which is often. When I stay at home with him, I scream the whole day. He is too dependent on me. If I don't do sumfing for him he beats me. And I can't do anything to defend myself. Sometimes I think I'm the only person on earth having such problems. He's so selfish that he talks to me only when he needs my help for homework etc.. I screamed so much today that my voice is gone. The problem is that my parents do not allow me to go and stay elsewhere, away from him. I'm just waiting for the day when I'll join university. I tried to get along with him but didn't work for long. Plz tell me what can I do till then. Thanks.

Ignore him. He wants attention, if you ignore him. he will get tired of trying to get you upset, and will give it up

Your parents need to know about the physical abuse. No one has the right to hit another person in anger whether they are related or not. He is commiting physical assualt which in the UK is a serious offence. There is no way that this can be allowed to continue. Tell your parents you need a private word with them and tell them exactly what has been happening to you. If they are worth anything, they will impose sanctions to prevent him hurting you.

Keep out of his way. Ask for a lock on your bedroom door. Try to ignore him at all times even when he speaks to you.

Try sitting your parents down and talking to them about what he is doing, that your brother beating on you is making you feel upset and depressed that you would like to have a good relationship with your brother and their help and discipline in this would help allot...he will grow up with the idea that hitting is the solution to everything or to get his way.....If your parents can't understand and stop this behavior then the best thing for you to do is to let him know (before it starts) the next time he hits you you will not do the thing he needs help with, If he's going to hit you anyway you should refuse to do anything if he hits you again.
Good luck! hope something I said will help...

I would try letting him fend for himself, maybe he'll realise how much he needs you when you stop doing stuff for him and he will be prepared to comprimise. It may be a bit dodgy at first but i think that if you stick it out then it will get better.

Just talk gently with him. It happens at his age. He wants to show that he is there and should not be ignored. He wants to emephasise his presence by doing all sorts of things. So, you do not take it seriously. You also fight with him . He will not mind.

dont let him get away with it, or it will just keep getting worse & worse. If you hit him back then he will think twice about hitting you again
