Forget all the made up excuses that the religion crowd will make up for God.
The truth is that we all come in and we all go out of this life existence and dimension. Many who have had near death experiences or who have deep spiritual knowledge will tell you that it is actually more pleasant on the other side and it is this side and this life that is full of struggle and heartache.
I am sorry for whatever losses you have had. You need to learn to let go. Be secure in knowing that the physical body and material possessions are all transient. We are all just souls having a human experience.

Your question is not really about believing in God, because you already do, from the fact that you put the blame on Him from taking your loved ones away.
Does God kill innocent people? Is He really loving or not? While it's good that you're questioning your faith, it doesn't really help when you answer your own questions by putting God in a box, does it? Or arranging things according to your own idea of how life should be.
Patience is the key answer here. If you're suffering now, try to see that this has happened many, many times already in all of human history. You're definitely not alone, so deal with it the best way you can, without compromising who you are and the other things left for you in this life you so cherish. Peace.

If you object to having to stop sinning, then you're partially right. God doesn't "take" sin from you, He gives you a way of 1) controling your sinfulness and (hopefully) stopping your sinful ways (understanding that we will not be perfected and sinless until we are in His presence); 2) not being held responsible for the punishment you deserve due to your sins. It is for this reason that Jesus Christ came into the world.
I've read the Bible carefully and I cannot identify even ONE example of God killing an innocent person. If you see something that you think contradicts this statement, ask another question with a Biblical reference. Instead, it sounds as if you equate the deaths of innocent people with God's wrath. The Bible clearly explains that God isn't the one who's killing the innocents: it's Lucifer and those who follow him -- all the unsaved people of the world, whether they know it or not. The fact that evil exists in the world is a dramatic demonstration of how much we've transgressed God's will. Believe in Jesus today and claim the forgiveness, salvation and comfort that only He can provide.

As i've said before, God doesnt kill, sin does. God created a perfect world without pain, suffering or loss. But man messed up the plan by trying to be God. As a result sin and death entered the world. People dying breaks Gods heart, he has compassion for those whose loved ones had died, because he too had to give up HIS OWN child, who was blameless, for his creation. But, his son rose again, and if you believe in God, we shall not die either, rather we'll have eternal life forever and ever. Also, God gives AND God takes away. It's sad but ultimately God knows what He's doing...
hope that helped =)

well right off, I'm not religious at all, but I've studied them from an academic standpoint. When I've asked this question of priests or christian friends what they normally tell me is that the deaths of innocents aren't a punishment but rather to move them on to heaven and eternal bliss rather than suffering on earth.. I don't buy it, but that is what they tell me. I suppose if faith in god will make you happier and a better person that is the only reason to believe.

You don't understand that Satan kills yet you leave him out of the mix.
Can you not see where the attacks truly come from or is God just a an easy blame?
Ask God then be willing to listen.

1. Surprising as it may seem, an examination of some popular beliefs about death in the light of God's Word will prove both comforting and refreshing. It will reveal that death is not necessarily the end of everything.

God works in mysterious ways. I know that sounds like a lot of Bull Sh*t right now, but I have lost a lot of loved ones too. I stopped believing for awhile, but I know that his reason is bigger then me and my grief. He took my mother when I was just a 6 year old girl but I just feel like he took her to be away from the earths pain. Sorry I'm so freakin corny but thats how I feel.

Please be assured that God with all His wisdom does not take anything from us for no reason at all. For everything under the sun, there's always a rhyme and reason. What happened to you now maybe downright painful but think back, have you listened to Him and heed all His signs before you got to that point? Can you really say you have made all your decisions well?
Please do not blame God for whatever heartaches you go through. He is not the one who put you where you are but He is the one just being there and waiting for you to take His hand. He is always there for you, just listen and heed His call.

God gives men agency. They use that agency in good ways and bad. As for the age old question of 'why did God take my baby from me?', because it was time, time for that little child to return and also a time to test the faith of those left behind. This mortal life is no dress rehearsal, it was designed to be easy. But God knows your pain, and if you trust in Him He will ease your pain.
I hope this helps.
