Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were the founders of the people and men of faith, but they never called their religion "Judaism". In fact the word "Judaism" never appears in the Bible (not even in the Christian Bible).

Obviously in Judaism G-d is the Creator. But I don't think that is quite what you are asking.

Judaism is founded on Torah. Torah is the 5 books of Moses - Genesis through Deuteronomy. So Moses is perhaps the personality that you are looking for.

The story of the Exodus is often looked upon as being like a betrothal and marriage. The descendants of Jacob - the children of Israel - had become slaves in Egypt. G-d sees this and like an angry boyfriend comes in, curses the Egyptians with 10 plagues, takes Israel out. He leads them through the waters of the Red Sea and kills the enemies that are following them. He then leads them to Mount Sinai where He gives them His Covenant. (Much as the marriage contract is read in a traditional wedding.) Read Exodus 1 through 20.

Israel entered into the Promised Land and generations later the nation was split into 2 kingdoms. Israel was the northern kingdom and Judah was the southern kingdom. Israel was conquered by Assyria and the people there were dispersed amoung the nations and no one knows where their descendants are now. Judah was taken into captivity by Babylon but was allowed to return. They were later conquered again by Greeks and then by the Romans.

Since the area was called Judea, the nation was called Judah, and the people were called Jews; the unnamed religion of the people became known as "Judaism".

G-d is the one who created Judaism and gave the Torah over to the Jews on mount sinai. (in the Jewish year ?2448).

Abraham was the first person on the world to recognize that there is a one and only G-d ruling the world. It was against the beliefs of everyone at that time, and they even tried to kill him - but G-d saved him. He went on to have his son Isaac, who had Jacob who had the twelve tribes.

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are our forefathers - though they were not really Jewish. The reason for that is that the Torah was not given to the Jews until later - on Mount Sanai in the desert after G-d saved them from Egypt. Getting the Torah is what made them Jewish and there where hundreds of thousands of Jews there at that moment - so there is no real "first Jew".

Nonetheless, we all come from Abraham and he is still our father. BTW all three of our forefathers actually did follow the laws of the Torah (although they didnt have to). We see this when it says in the Torah that three angels came to visit Abraham after he was circumsiced. It goes on to explain what he gave them to eat - and one of the things was "matzah" the leaven bread that we eat on passover. R''ashi goes on to explain that the day that they visited happened to have been passover, so he didnt want to serve them and "Chametz".

Even though the Torah was not given until later, the forefathers knew what was written in it and knew what they were allowed to do and what not. That is why they followed all the laws even though the didnt have to since they didnt receive the Torah yet.

The faith of Judaism began with Abraham/Isaac,and Jacob. Even though Abraham had an illegitimate son with his wife's slave girl Hagger (named Ishmael) the covenant between God and Abraham was with the wife of Abraham her name was Sarah, their sons name was Isaac,he was to be the father of a great nation that would be known now as Israel.

You are asking a good question as the religion is not a religion but a family tradition. Anciently you were Jewish because of your birthright. So it all starts with Abraham and his first wife that couldn't get pregnant till she was ninety. And so they pray to the Gods of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. There is your clue!
