Strike while the iron is hot means DO IT NOW!

Make hay while the sun shines means to do what needs to be done before it's too late and you've wasted your resources.

it is wise to strike the iron when it is hot because when hot iron yeilds more easily. It is not wise to blow the steelwhen it is chill which require more blow and more effort.

similarly to do hard works expect the mature situation to complete the task with the minimum effort.

even though making hay is comparitively a lazy job with iron working.

it will not be wise to make hay when it rains.
which complicates the simple work.

the moral is both a hard and light job warrents a situation where u can do with ease
