I need the minimums and maximums for the physical fitness test, I am switching from Army to Air National Guard in April and want to know what the differences are. How many of each do I have to do in order to simply pass, and are they sit-ups or crunches? Exactly what is a crunch? Does anybody have a table that says this info? I am 34 and a female. Please, please, help.

I am prior service, do not need to go to Basic Training, I did the Army one already, that was tough enough. but of course, now they have stress cards.

These people are all giving you the basic training requirements. In the active duty Air Force, everything is done on a points basis, and I assume the national guard will be the same. Where the faster you run the 1.5 mile run, the more points you get thus lowering the amount of points you have to get on the push ups ans sit ups. I have been out for over a year now, but I think the most you points you can get if you max out on the push ups and sit ups is ten points per excercise, and the passing points are 50. For women if you max out on the push ups which is like 32 in 1 minute, and max out on sit ups which is like 35 in 1 minute, you have to run the 1.5 mile in 18.5 minutes, so it isn't very hard. Hope this helps.

I can guarantee the Air National Guard is not even close to what you had to endure in the Army. It probably has changed, but when I was in we had to run 1 1/2 in so many minutes or walk 3 miles. Piece of cake even for me.

Graduation Requirements
The final fitness test is conducted at the end of the 4th WOT/beginning of the 5th WOT (prior to "Warrior Week"). To pass, recruits must meet the following MINIMUM physical fitness standards:

Females:

1.5 Mile Run - 13:56
Sit-Ups - 50 (in 2 minutes)

Recruits who fail to meet the above standards can expect to be recycled for a minimum period of two weeks.
