I'm not sure if your referring to African-American hair or Color Treated hair, however my suggestion would be to ask your stylist. I am always changing/high-lighting or coloring my hair (I go to a salon). My stylist recommends what type of shampoo & conditioner is right for the treatment[s] provided. I do believe the professional products work the best, and don't forget your hair type ie; dry, oily, thick , thin, curly, straight etc...play an important part in the products you use!

I love Dove but I don't know if it's sold where ever you are
I think it's only sold in New Zealand and Australia
but if it isn't or if you find a way to get some, trust me, it makes your hair soft!!
