I truly do. Some of the things that have happened in my life have just shown me that a higher power was with me. College-wise, major-wise, friends, teachers, parents, religion, life. I prayed during the college process to be admitted to the college that was right for me and where I would be happiest, and I'm enrolled to go to UCSB right now! And I did not have the grades for it. I hoped that I wouldn't be at graduation with just my robe, cap, and blue thing around my neck. I ended up with a special tassle, a rope, about 3-5 pins, and 2 leyes(sp?)! I desperately wanted to get into the top level in my choir, and I worked my butt off one summer, and got in. Later found out that my choir director didn't think I even had a voice! That especially told me that I wasn't alone in the world. My mother has had breast cancer 6 times in the past 10-12 years, and each time we've been able to catch it in plenty of time. I just, can't help but feel like someone is watching over us. If nothing good has happened to you in your life, maybe it's because you've got a lesson to learn or you just have some things that you've got to work through this time around. I believe in reincarnation, can you tell? lol And just because I believe there's a God doesn't mean anyone else should or shouldn't. It's up to each person to make their own choices, especially in religion. Good luck, and hope your life takes a turn for the better! Sounds like you've had a real hard time

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and
suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation which people will understand. A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would
there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things." The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond, because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty
long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside." "Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me." "Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

YES i do...
and the reason i do is because i can just feel it. Because when you think of yourself as just a grouping of cells made up of a grouping of atoms i feel like just an inatimate object. But i know i am not an inatimate object. I have very little relation to a table or a chair....I think...I scream....I cry .......for some reason that always explains it for me. If my group of cells is supposed to be so precise what is my purpose of crying if tears are just to clean the eyes, not to lighten a burden deep within.
Just sometimes the world seems too precise regardless if I feel happy or not, it feels tooo planned.
I mean out of nine planets in a solar system we are the only one with humans on it? that was a one in ninth chance of happening
and so far from all the stars and galaxies robots have capture images of and went into far depths of the galaxy this planet is yet the only one with intelligent life?? After more than a trillion years????
C'mon look at the rate babies are born here compared to the rate life is found out there in space.....it just makes u wonder......how one cannot believe

God has nothing to do with good stuff happening in your life. Even Christians believe god has given us Free Will and he doesn't interfere with our daily lives.
The reason for nothing good happening:
You are ultimately responslbe for your own happiness. Nobody else. Not God, not a spouse, not your parents. YOU need to figure out why you see your life as unsatisfying.
You need to change your outlook. Count your blessings. Start to appreciate the daily miracles around you. Your problem is because you're not winning the lottery or bagging any girl/guy you want, you think your life is a disappointment.
Make some goals in your life, and every day do a little bit to work towards them. Look within yourself to find out what you truly find satisfying. Stop making your life about "me me me" and look at the bigger picture.

Yes, I believe in the God of Abraham, Father of Christ. I believe because this world is entirely too complex to just have suddenly come into existence on its own. I believe because the Bible, a group of books that are some three or four thousand years old and still followed, teaches so. I believe because of all the people who have ever existed, some of the most famous, Jesus, Abraham, and Moses, all believed in the same God. I believe because Israel survives today. These are just a few reasons.
Maybe you don't believe anything good ever happened to you. Think of your situation relative to other people in the world. People who watch their children starve to death. People who walk out of their house, and into a land mine. People with no water, no electricity, no education. Think about what a person in a third world country would think about being able to sit in a room in a house that was safe, air-conditioned, and clean and be able to read and write and type on a computer and not have to be worried about someone killing them. Then maybe your own situation won't seem so bad.

Yes, i do. Because there is no reason to deny GOD existence. If you say that nothing good happened with your life, you are too selfish to say that. Have you think about your past life until now ? If i said you're now alive --that's a good thing, because many people die today, this minute, this second. You have you're parents ? you have your friends ? Are you healthy ? Are you breathing normally ? If you check out in the internet, many kids doesn't have parents, many people die lonely, many people suffered cancer, AIDS, can't even breath normally. So I guess you are lucky, better from about 2 / 3 people in this world. And i think that's good.
Say thanks to GOD, that you ask that question, because many people live without care about their creator. it's very sad indeed. So be HAPPY and live a good live depending on GOD.

Where do you get your goodness? If you're a kind person, where do you get your kindness? The wisdom to be gracious, kind, generous, understanding and patient are all from God because the devil will never teach your soul to be that way. Doing a kindness or being good to other people is not a reward-system. You do good because you ARE good. If they thank you for it, then thanks also. If they don't recognize the goodness in you, you think God doesn't know it? Remember - even before you speak, act, move, react or plan to do something good for another human being - God already knows because He knows what's in your heart. Be happy that you have the capacity to do service and help others because its better to invest in Heaven than to invest on recognitions here on earth.

What is GOOD? Man's definition of good is lower in standards than God's. Yes, there is a God. But man in wicked in his own heart. Have you never thought about doing something that you knew was not right for you to do, and maybe you didn't give in to your ideas or thoughts and do what you knew wasn't right? Sin starts as an idea. I have been a Christian for a few years, and I still have thoughts and desires, and I still mess up, but I can hit my knees and ask God's forgiveness, and try to do better. Just remember that your standard of good is alot lower than God's. Only one man ever walked through this world completely blameless, and his name was Jesus.

Well, if you were able to live an honest good cultured life in the world today, then I think that proves the existence of a deity in itself.

God works in mysterious ways. I know one poor fellow who had an accident and they fixed him by sticking long bolts in his spine and all that. He said "Praise God!" I asked him why? He said because this has strengthened his faith and now he "knows" god is there for him. I asked "Did god do this to you?" He said "Yes! I am such a happy man!" I said "You're a ******* lunatic, that's what you are." But he wouldn't listen. I mean there must be more intelligent and kinder ways to bring people to god, no? I would say there are gods but there is no physical divine intervention whatsoever (only spiritual). If you're in the wrong place at the wrong time the laws of physics don't give a crap. Wave your bible at a lion and watch him eat your butt for breakfast anyway.
