There are a lot of good answers already, but I can add a couple more.

Ok, growth spurt definitely, one day he'll hardly eat anything the next he eat everything in sight.

Even at that young of an age he's exerting his independence by controlling what he eats, don't force him, he'll eat when he wants and what he wants.

Believe it or not even when a child is picky about he eats he's still getting everything he needs, his body knows what it wants and needs.

Just keep him hydrated and if it really becomes a concern take him to see his doc.

But you'll see even at 7 mons he'll have his favorite foods, offer them first before offering the foods he may not be to thrilled with.

Don't worry he'll soon have his appetite back and then around age 2 it'll all start again.

my brother used not to want to eat in that age. We called our doctor and he said "it's ok. when his body -decide- i needs food he'll eat". And that happened, a few days later he started eating normally again. Now, he's 18 months and he's not eating again.... He just eat only the food he likes...
So, don't didn't worry about it-maybe call his doctor too and see what he'll say... If he keeps doing this for a long time, then you should worry (my brother did it for about 1 week and then returned to his normal food-rhythm)

When he is hungry, he will eat. No 7 month old is going to starve himself.

does he have a tempreture is he ill?? if not don't worry no baby ever starved themselves, perhaps he doesn't like what you are giving him? wait till the next meal and try offering him something else, don't get into a big funk over feeding if he is not ill he will be ok

he could be teething or going through a growth spurt..my daughter would only eat 2 times a day and only formula when she was going through a growth spurt..but if it is teething try using teething tablets they worked wonders for my daughter and you can usually get them at like walgreens or walmart
