you need to get a good pair of straigtheners and straigthening serum. Go to Boots and you will find loads of products which will straighten your hair.

I know this is going to sound crazy but my best friends hair is really thick and somewhat curly, so i straighten her hair with a clothes iron. You have to set it on cotton, put a towel underneath your hair and do it sections, don't leave the iron in one spot just act like you are ironing a shirt or a pair of pants and no it will not burn you hair... just don't do it yourself. It works trust me...i even do it cuz my hair is curly and doesn't last very long with a regular straightener..

use a pair of good straighteners like babyliss or ghd's and some straightening serum from superdrug or boots. loreal do a straightening balm which also protects your hair from the damages of straightening. Use the serum first then straighten in sections starting at the back. You can do it i have real wavy hair and my first straighteners werent good but my new babyliss ones are great and they really work, but curly hair is cool too.

My friend's hair naturally looks like a really tight perm. She tells me the secret is in the brand of straighteners as they are not all the same. She swears by GHD - expensive but they are the only ones apparently where her hair stays straight until she washes it again (or it rains!)

you need a straightener with CERAMIC PLATES
wash your hair, then apply a straightening product (buy one in a hairdressers there is no comparison even if it is a little pricier...) and dry your hair completely with a hairdryer. Brush your hair while you dry to stop it going afro....Then sit down for about an hour or so with your straightner and a hairbrush in front of the tv and get to it :o)

What about asking the hairdresser for a reverse perm. I once had a perm that when wrong and the hairdresser did a reverse perm. They use perm lotion but they straighten it instead of putting it in rollers.
