the best exercise is the one you enjoy doing the most.. if your looking for calorie burning I would go with swimming.. but almost any doctor will tell you that you should find something you enjoy doing..

For me Weight Watchers has done wonders for me.. I've been with the program for 8 weeks now and have lost over 30 pounds.. And it's a pretty easy program to follow.. There are plenty of low calorie recipes around, if you go to the forum section of www.MaxOtter.com under the recipe thread you will find lots of them..

Both would be benificial, to get better results you need to incorporate different exercises. Swimming and walking work different muscle groups and have advantages over the each other. I have found swimming is great and is a real cardio workout, which is easy on the body, no heavy pressure on your back. I would also reccommend walking because its something that we as humans do every day so would help turn fat into muscle while giving you that extra endurance that helps get through the day without getting lathargic.
Also you shouldve stated why you want to know whats better for you, what is your goal? What are you trying to achieve? Whether your goal is to lose weight and gradually start jogging, get into weights and start lifting etc. A few extra pointers if you are trying to lose weight is to change your diet. 6 light meals a day keeps your metabolism fast as you are constantly working your digestive system. For dinner make sure you have 2/3 of the plate vegetables while the other 1/3 of the plate a meat with a good source of protein (turkey, chicken, etc...) avoid all fast food and try to keep away from foods high in fat but be aware that some food maybe 99% fat free but high in sugar. Excess sugar intake turns to fat if not burned off and means you will be spending a longer time at the gym/track/pool.
One other tip I HIGHLY reccommend is stretching. Stretching is so good to increase muscle size and elasticity. You will find stretching will tone your body and help avoid injury.

Swimming is considered the most complete exercise. During the swim, people exercise muscles of the body that most exercise and sporty can't, plus its provides a beautiful modeling body's result, for men in particular on the chest and back that gets more wider.
PS: On my opinion men that practice swim has the most beautiful body from those whom practice any other sport. Triathlon is even greater, since is a combination of 3 sports: swim, run and bicycle. If you think you can do Triathlon is even better than swimming.
