I know why we sweat, I also know how important sweating is for our health. I just don't know why the sweat makes our skin sticky, and I really don't like the way it feels. Can people offer me an answer or an explnation? Thanks a lot.

It's the salt and urea! If these waste products aren't washed away, the salt doesn't evaporate off the body and often traps the waste product urea alongside it as well.

The stickyness is more a sign that one needs to wash rather than any advantagious reaction...though perhaps having a physical signal that its time to bathe IS a rather usefull evolutionary tool. :)

Congratulations to you! You have lost bit of your oil in your body. Having sticky sweat is good rather than non-sticky sweat. Sticky sweat is the combination of the water and the oil. People exercise to burn their fats (oil) in their body. When we sweat, our body will release water 1st and then follow by the oil.
