You make a fundamental mistake. You're assuming this universe existed before Heaven did, which is incorrect. Heaven existed before this universe. That is why God said "let there be light", because at that point the universe was created. Prior to him saying that light didn't exist, so the universe didn't exist either.

God's existence doesn't depend on the existence of heaven and hell. But if heaven and hell exist, it is because God enables them to exist. So yes, i would still worship God, since he would still be God.

Since heaven and hell never existed, there's no need to pray to an imaginary god.

I would. I dont believe in heaven and hell after death anyway. I believe those to states exist now on earth and you choose which one you live in. You can choose to feel tortured and miserable or happy and grateful for what you have.

Yeah,

I really don't buy into one shot deal at heaven and hell and a God that can't forgive anything no matter how hanious.

God's out there, he will never intefere with free will, but its nice to let him know we are still down here...waiting for something...waiting for Godot.

I'm agnostic. I don't pray to or worship any "god" type being, and don't believe that there's heaven or hell.

My religion doesn't include concepts like heaven and hell, yet I still pray often. I do it to strengthen my relationships that I have with my deities.
