If somebody told you they weren't ready for sex, but there are ways to go around that while still engaging in it, what would you understand from that. Keep in mind this somebody is a woman!

She can be very intimate...she wants to cuddle, talk about under garments etc... but if I push it too far then its like I feel guilty for offending her, which it seems like i'm doing. I'm deciding just to shut up and avoid bringing up anything intimate. Its not fair that things only have to be her way. I mean I aslo don't want sex, but it feels like my other ways of intimacy is too much for her. And I don't have the guts to be straight about it, it would seem too forward.

Well for my guess is that she's lonely and she wants somebody to accompany her. Well an intimate relationship doesn't always end up in sex. Well one couple could just be cuddling on the bed but nothing happen. It clearly shows that the woman is pleading and needing attention and affection thats all.. in other words she's lonely

I dated a woman like that once. She was trying to be a good Catholic girl, and wanted to save herself for marriage. Anything else was O.K., except for intercourse (and I mean BOTH kinds of lower body intercourse, not like some girls I've heard about these days that think they are still virgins if they only have anal- idiots.). She was a great woman, we went out for a while, I respected her wishes and then after a while I decided I wanted to have sex again so I quit dating her. Ask her how long she wants to wait and why. If you like her and can handle her reasons and/or time line, then keep dating her! Who knows? It might be worth the wait!

I think she just want you as her quality friendship.
I mean, she just want you as her true friend/bf without take on her advantage (sex). on her opinion boys likes to intimate with her just for sex not her personality. she just want to loved by men coz of her self, the way she is and her personality, character, anything from inside not her body!! okay with Kiss and hugging (maybe this is what she meant by intimate but not overly physical sex)) but no sex!!

Depending on age, 'intimate' can mean everything but penetration, or simply kissing and cuddling. First, ask whether her definition of 'intimacy' involved clothes ON or clothes OFF. That will give you a hint.

Such woman is merely a victim of past exploitation and would not want to easily fall prey to another one. From the tone of the words spoken, one can infer that the person would want to eat her cake and also have it.

I shouldn't say more that this ...

It means that she wants to explore first. Mentally and physically. It means she isn't afraid to have an orgasm she doesn't want you inside her to get it. It means exactly what it says. It means no Clift's Notes, you have to read the book. It means you will have to find out how many licks does it take till you get to the center of it.

Peace and have a great journey.

She is probably worried about becoming pregnant, sexually transmitted diseases, or maybe just doesn't feel ready to share her body so intimately.
