Of course. If by 100% true you mean that every word in the Bible should be taken literally. Surly God could have yawned to create the Earth. He didn't need six days. And besides, time is a human measurement. God is beyond time - He is infinite.
But you should believe the parts about loving your neighbor, and such. That's the part you need to pay close attention to.
P.S. To the poster above me, the Gosples were bieng written around 100 years after Jesus's death, not three hundred, and the Old Testament was around before Jesus was born.

Yep of course.
The Bible didn't come along until 300+ years afterwards so what about all the believers before then. There is a fundy tendency to make a false idol out of the bible (and then follow any old idiots interpretation). The Bible is not the word of God (source The Bible).
Yes I know that the Gospels and letters were mostly written within 100 years. The canon was not established and agreed untill later. There are 10's if not 100's of other writings written at the same time that were dismissed.

Yes, of course one can. Jesus himself recognised what we now call the Old Testament as being a work of literature rather than literal fact. Much of it is a history of the Jewish nation but much of it is poetry and simile and metaphor which were never intended to be taken literally.
The use of literary devices to convey a truth does NOT invalidate the truth behind it. Jesus used the technique a great deal and to good effect because it was very familiar to and well understood by the people he preached to. Do you really think the Kingdom of Heaven is a small, round brown object which can grow into a tree? "In my Father's house are many mansions." He said. Today we think of houses as being smaller than mansions and we don't imagine for a moment that God actually has a house somewhere! Jesus used images that he knew people could comprehend to describe things which are way beyond our experience and knowledge to understand.
Our Western minds today are so obsessed with accuracy to the minutest detail that we forget that many cultures did not (and still do not) think that way at all. It is not that they do not see the truth but they perceive it and speak of it in an entirely different way. To say that the Bible is '100% true' simply proves my point about the way our culture - and you, the questioner - likes to think in numbers and statistics.
One surely has to read the Bible - as any literature - in the context of the people for whom it was written. It was not written for us Gentiles - did not St Paul himself tell us as much?
The important truths in the Bible have nothing to do with exact dates and times, the truth lies in what it tells us of God and that we can only perceive 'as through a glass, darkly', until his spirit comes upon us to make it clear.
For those who know God, there is no longer so much importance given to the Bible, the Quran or the Rig Veda; there is no longer a distinction between Christian, Muslim, Jew or any other religion. There is only God and our love for him and the worth we give to him. He is great!

I'm not a Christian, and I don't think the Bible is 100% true. Remember it was men, human beings that wrote this book. From what I read, there are a lot of contradictions in the Bible, and there are a lot of contradictions in the Christian faith.

The Bible was written by man, and God created man able to make mistakes. Not only occasionally but as a chronic matter of fact. If man wrote it there must be mistakes. That is why the spirit that dwells in us is the teacher first and the bible is a story and explanation of that truth. The Spirit of God alone is the only total existence of infallible truth.

I believe the bible 100% I have no taboo about the math.
I do study my bible, Matt.22:37-40; Jesus gave us the great commandnent. Gal.5:22,23; Is fruits of the spirit.
Adam to year of flood 1656 , Noah is in a fix,
At age 600, he has 350 years to year 2006,
Abraham at 75 in 2083, as the covenant is,
In 430 years as Moses has Pharoah at risk.
Gen.9:28,29[Noah 950]; 12:4; 15:13,16;
Exo.7:7[age 80]; 12:40,41[430 years];
In 40 years to 2553, is end of wilderness,
Judges rule in Promise Land Samuel is last,
Then king Saul, David, and 480 years does end,
Solomon builds a temple, had 36 years to reign.
Deut.34:7; 1Ki.6:1; 1Ki.11:42[Solomon dies];
So he died 3069 and 18 kings are onto Babylon,
To end 391 years at 3460 after Eden and Adam,
Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel write it down,
Daniel give 2520 to 5980 after Adam, till Satan's is down,
92 years ago Satan was earth bound.
5980 + 92 = 6072, 2520 + 92 = 2612. 1914 + 92 = 2006 CE.
In Satan's short time[58 year to go], God's word gets around,
Matt.24:3,14,15,22,36-38
[only god knows the day and hour;
We're into last days, Michael's is now most renown,
Rev.12:7-12; Dan.12:1-13;
The Pit is open, at this time, the sealed of God are found,
Rev.9:1-5[5x 30 = 150];
As raised up at last day, John 6:44; Elect are heaven bound,
1Thes.4:15-17;
Mark 13:27;
Prophecy? Dan.7:25[8:12-14[2300]; 12:1-7[2500];
Jude 9; Michael stands up, 8-10[2520 Satan's put down Rom.16:20[apostles expected Satan to be down
],
Dan.11:11[2x 1290 =] 2580, 12:12[2x 1335 =] 2670]; ?
Here is where the bible time line Eden to Jesus reign is found.
Rev,20:1-6[1000 year reign, with redeemed Rev.14:1-7];
Satan has 6,130 years from Eden, this world he is in will end,
All is made as perfect as it was before sin entered in back then,
And we will all be Gods perfect children and his perfect family.

Yes, you can. I know many Christians who use the bible as more of a book of examples and metaphors than a literal rule book.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. So if you have Jesus (who is the bread actually) you still need 100% Bible.

the bible is written by people, not by God. Check it out.
You have to believe in Jesus Christ, God and his preachings not everything that's in the Bible. It's just a document of faith, it isn't The Faith.
