Yes, I do. I have seen the movie and many copies of the book, there is no doubt that they do in fact exist!

My opion which I wrote to some newspapers and visual medias on this issue:

The world is seriously concerned and the Christian World (especially the Roman Catholic Church) is hurt through a book of an individual that contains his own manipulations. That too on a subject of more than two thousand years old with no adequate evidence for the views he has.

Dan Brown is nothing but a cunning writer where he found a safe base to start his game. The base from where he started his book is already well known to the whole world and so he had no doubt that his book would a best seller. His mind is nothing better than that of a crazy street boy who tries to spoil or tarnish a sculpture or a statue or a painting that was admired by rest of the world. He succeeded in doing it. The act can be compared with that of the Talibans who destroyed the Budha’s statue. Here, I am not comparing their aims.

Now to the Christian world and the Roman Catholic Church I have a question. If your God is powerful, why don’t you leave the matter to Him to handle? Is not your almighty God powerful enough to handle a Dan Brown, if his views are against Him?

Dan Brown, Salman Rushdie, Kazantzakkis etc.are all such writers who had another indirect aim in their minds that fame is easy when they try to tarnish a famous matter. Keeping aside their literary talents there is nothing worth admiring. But they succeeded and the media and whole world are being fooled. Moreover, when one religion is insulted the rest rejoice. This is another key point of their success.

There is something called the "Merovingian Heresy" that has existed well before the DaVinci Code was written, and has has many proponents throughout history. If you are curious do a web search on the subject to find out more about people who might believe in it.

philly_finest06, I like your expression "load of crock," it game me a giggle, lol.

Oh for cryin' out loud, for the upteenth time, The DaVinci Code was a fictional story. Sure it was made for money, just like any novel-to-movie is made for money. Dan Brown and Ron Howard didn't do anything worse or better than other authors/directors who did the same thing with other stories. Sure it's for making money, that's what Brown & Howard do for a living. Making money off this story isn't bad, it's good. Everyone involved in it has bills to pay and a profit to make just like anyone else.

Before you see the Da vinci code wouln't you like to see the real thing, that ever one say is not right, when no one has ever tried it to see? No I do not believe the Da Vinci code and any that works with the bible converts it to their liking instead of letting it be the facts that it is, The bible has proven to me that it has been smarter than man since 1611 CE, that being the case it was always so.

I agree with you. There is no evidence that the DaVinci code is real. If the author thought it was, wouldn't it be a non-fiction book?

w.o.w. If Christ married then the church becomes the wife of adultry. If Christ married, He became as much the adulturor as every adultry M.Magdelin committed, he died in vain going to the cross with his own sins, he could not bear our sins, and he would have been indeed guilty as acused of cliaming to be god. Only a pure man, without sin, could be the Lamb of God. only an uncorrupted man who actually is the Son of God could be killed for claiming to be the Son of God and be raised from the dead to prove that He Is Lord.. DVC"s author has proclaimed he is an atheist, he hates God, and he will do what he can to hurt the church or take people to Hell with him.

this is so stupid. da vinci code is just a book. one writers imagination and fiction. it is interesting book, but not even the writer himself is saying that those are facts. i really don't understand this hysteria about a book.
do u believe in Charlotte's web, omg, animals can speak.
fiction, pure fiction
the difference is that he used few facts to make story more believable, but it doesn't mean that holly greal is in rosalin or louvre
