My girlfriend says that "Mayo"and Mayonaise are not the same thing. I say they are.... Help us out here....

She is lucky not to have argued about this in a reality TV show...I think this is much worst than Jessica not knowing what tuna fish is (Chicken by the sea...of the sea???). mayonnaise...= mayo...Oh man,...herrlich!

They are the same.. "Mayo" is common deli slang for mayonnaise. (note: it's spelled with 2 n's).
