Firstly, you can learn why they are unlovable, what has life thrown at them to make them the way they are. You can imagine what they use to be like before this.
If you cant learn to love them, then you can at least start with empathy.

one never need to learn life wolud teach to love unlovable people.
in reality lovable peoples are very very scarce
in most cases , what one does is love with some expectation
if expectation is fullfilled harmony between them
else quarrel and depart.
how comes there a real love with non lovable peoples

There is something to love about absolutely everyone. Look and you will find it, that will automatically change your perception of them, and they no longer are the unlovable.
