i know my relatives r well meaning, but they keep sending me fundamentalist Christian emails, which i have no desire to recieve, as i'm very happy w/my own religion, wicca. i haven't told them i'm wiccan, but i'd think the fact i haven't attended church in 4 yrs, and have been out as a lesbian for 3 should tell them something.how do i politely tell them that i don't want that sort of correspondance, and that nothing they do will convert me? i still want to recieve emails from them, just not religious ones.

Use your Spam Blocking filters to block messages with certain words. Then advise them that you have set things up to block religiously oriented forwarded email because you feel you are being inundated with it. Ask them to please not include you on those forwarded mass emailing and remove you from their email group lists. Invite them to still contact you on a personal basis when they simply want to share life's experiences.

Set your spam filter, using some of the keywords they use in their prostyletizing emails. This way, if you get one that is primarily about religion, it will go into your spam and if the message doesn't discuss those things it will go through. Explain clearly in an email to your relatives that you will no longer be able to view any religious emails, and if they wish to converse with you via email, that they will have to ensure that no religious topics will be discussed.

I just ignore them. You can't explain anything to them, they have their mind made up on how it's supposed to be-. Ignore them, and when you do have to see them just be yourself. Maybe they'll get used to the idea of "you" and who you are. If they don't, it's their problem, their loss for being so limited.

I have some people who send me things (e-mails mostly these days, cards sometimes) I'm not interested in. Occasionally I send them forwarded e-mails that I can accept and know we'd agree on. But they know by my response that I'm ignoring the religious or political stuff that I don't agree with.

The filter idea listed above is a good one. That way, you don't have to read them but nobody's feelings get hurt.

My husband and I have had similar dilemmas. I've finally decided if it's sent with good intentions then I'll put it on my altar with everything else. Like, his cousin sent us a Christmas card with these little.. I'm not even sure.. plastic credit-card sized name meaning cards with a bible verse underneath. It's not our bag, but she meant no malice behind it and just thought they were neat and important to her, so hey. It's out of love.

wicca is witch craft, demons are the power to witch craft so instead of the God of the Bible and the HOLY SPIRIT you have chosen to commune with demonic spirits, and they intend on destroying you, this is why we need Jesus because the demons will leave us alone if we claim the name! God and your relatives are in a spiritual battle for your soul and they are concerned about your demonic buddies in wicca, and so God tells them to send you these things because the only way to get you free from your spiritual enemy is the name of JESUS! so read your email and thank God they love you enough!

Just delete the emails. Don't waste any time reading them or worrying about them but spent it enjoying life instead!
