our house is located on a dead end spot, and every night the neighbors use that dead end as their garage for their dilapidated taxis

Have you tried talking with them?

Best wishes and God bless.

What you should do is park your cars in the beginning of the entrance of the dead end parking.. Park your cars in such a way that it blocks them from getting their cars in.. Do this for a few days and if they still don't get the clue, have their cars towed.. It's your parking, more or less your property right??... So obviously they know what they're doing is wrong... Screw trying to talk to them... They're being ignorant, so why should you try to talk... Just take action!!! Like they have been...

Talking to them does not work. Do you own or rent. Do they own or rent. Ask the landlords. Place red road cones out in front of your drive way. The cops can't do much if it is a public street, unless they are actually blocking the driveway. Call and ask the police to do a drive by at least. Might make them nervous (wanted for none registration of the cars) for example.

In California, the code enforcement officers, financially empowered by the $350+ handicapped zone parking fine, cite cars for parking violations (they love curb parkers) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and love people who think they aren't around on holidays when you're having a family gathering.

we spoke with them politely and then when they "forgot" again we waited untill they moved and then put out two chairs with a rope between them and a sign that said "reserved for xxxxx- thanks for understanding" they never said a word but everytime we forgot to replace the chairs- they still parked there! ha! If they get so rude as to not honor that then I would use traffic cones and if all else fails, you can legally have a tow sign put up and have them towed. (get the "will tow" sign first- free from tow yard- for a least a day or two before you tow to avoid any nasty legal problems....) good luck!

Well, when you need to get out, then knock on their door and ask them to move it.

If you need to do that a few times a week, they'll probably get as annoyed as you are.

If you don't actually need to use your driveway during the hours their car is there, then I don't see how you have an actual problem.

Leave a note on the car first, and afterwards talk with them if its still an occurrence. The last option is to have them towed or ticket.

Move. Get away from having neighbors, if at all possible. There will always be some annoyance. That's why I'm trying to do. Give me secluded country side over suburbia hell any day.

Invest in 2 heavy highway cones and park them at that spot.

freeze a couple cans of shaving cream over night (20-50)
break off the can part before the cream thaws
place the frozen shaving cream in their cars
When its warms up itll expand like crazy filling theirs cars!!!

OR...steal their license plates so when they drive before they realize it they will get pulled over and pay fines and have to replace it
