So I was looking at the bottle of both pepsi and coke that I have, and the only difference I can see in the ingredients is that Pepsi has sugar listed and Coke doesn't ...So is that the only MAJOR difference?

I compared them one day also but I didn't see anything too obvious except one of the experation dates was sooner but they weren't bought at the same time. So I guess the big difference is all in our heads. But I wouldn't try to convince all the fanatics out there who will only drink one or the other, because they get really dramatic

The difference is in it's manufacturing. The way it's made makes the difference, not the ingredients. They really both have the same ingredients when it comes down to it. Coke may not have sugar, but it must have corn syrup or some similar sweetener, so thats not the difference. The way any food is prepared or cooked is what really makes it different from any other similar food.

I think so. I did notice that Pepsi looses its fizz more quickly than Coke does. I think I will have to compare the ingredients of German Coke to the American Coke, its the same brand, but tastes different and I can't figure out why.

Pepsi gained its popularity by selling its product cheaper than it's competing predecessor, Coke, during the Depression. Aside from that, all I can say is that Coke and Pepsi taste different. Pepsi is sweeter.

you don't even have to read the label.. Taste and you can tell the difference. Pepsi is sweeter than Coke. Is like drinking a shot of sugar. Yukks! Coke all the way!!

No. The difference is the AMOUNT of the ingredients that each have. It's not just the sugar. PS... There are about 15 other words that companies are allowed to use instead of "sugar "... like fructose surup.. etc.

coke is better for mixed drinks because it is less sweeter than Pepsi but at the fountain with ice Pepsi is the best drink of all

PEPSI is my drink of choice but whatever you choose for yourself is OK by me. There is a great difference in the taste due to the process as to which each are made.
