Reminds me of Gwenith Paltrow (sp?) all skinny and stuff. Bet you you're White. And if you're not, other kids will think she gots a White name

Gwen sounds nice when you pronounce all of the letter in the English manner. But this name is probably Welsh, and the way they use the letters 'GW' is as a diglyph meaning in English the sound of 'J' as in joy. So the correct pronounciation of the girls name would be 'Jen', but nobody would pronounce her name that way.

From the Welsh name Gwenhwyfar, which is composed of the elements gwen meaning "fair, white" and hwyfar meaning "smooth".
May not be popular outside of Caucasians :)

I do not think it is a good choice of name. You have to look at it from the child's side. She will spend the rest of her life with this name. If you have to ask the "world" then you must be skeptical about it. Do not make a permanent choice on something that you are so unsure about. This child will have to hear that name everywhere she goes in life so be sure it is something that you wouldn't mind being called in the millennium.

That is a beautiful name for a girl. You don't hear that name to much nowadays. To me, when I hear that name I think of someone who stands out from the crowd.

i actually like that name. to me, it sounds like a name for someone outgoing... and gwen stefani's awesome, so yeah.. its a pretty sweet name

its great, it sounds outgoing and can deceive you on there personality , but when i think of Gwen i think of a outgoing person sometimes.
