When I get prepared to go fishing and get in the boat, it don't crank. When I try again and it cranks, it starts to lightening. When it cranks and doesn't lightening, I find out my line is rotten and no other line is in the boat. Why can't I just go fishing? Any advice?

The Lord of the Fish is angry with you! You'll have to find a way to get in his good books. Try crimping the barbs on the hooks...and happy fishing

The key is to be prepared, Charge your batteries, fuel your boat, check things over, toss a new spool of line or two in your boat before you leave, If you purchase some Gamma line or Fire line you shouldn't have a problem with line the gamma is awesome stuff it's new but I believe most major sporting goods stores carry it like gander mountain, *****, bass pro, and Cabella's. Also you don't really want to be out on the water in the lightening alot of people get killed from that, good luck a fish safely

Every heard of the Boy Scout Motto?? Be prepared, I spend three to four hours per week just preparing to get on water.... checking my bait and tackel boxes, cleaning, lubricating and re-stringing reels, checking the weather.... and I always carry spare everything....lol... granted, I probably take fishing too seriously, but I'd rather be prepared to catch fish and not get to go than have missed a chance at all.

If i can't use my little bass boat, i just fish from the bank...Take your new line to the water with you and sit and re-do your poles..It's relaxing just sittin by the water, once you get one fixed, your in business, then start on the other ones while ya wait for the big one to bite....Remember in fishin "It's every woman for herself"...I mean business when i go to the fishin hole...I go prepared for anything to happen...It started rainin and lightnin the other day when me and my son went, we left everything at the water, and hid under a big round bale of hay, and waited for the rain to pass...It was kinda fun!!

Always carry extra line. Try fishing from the shore.
Lightening, take cover.

you might want to take better care of your gear. regular maintenance on the engine is a good thing and checking out your fishing equipment before heading to the lake is something every fisherman should do.
