There is this really attractive, single, woman staying at the hotel I work at. Her and I flirted with each other for a long time. I ended up going to her room and making out with her for like 10 minutes one night, then I went back again and made out some more another night. Now, we never had sex, and it was amazing, but still I felt that it wasn't appropriate. I was off the clock if that means anything to ya.

Only if you can afford to be unemployed, I am sure there is a rule somewhere that say it would be grounds for termination.

Yeah, I would say that it's inappropriate. I could see if you took her to your house or something because that would be a different place. Just think about it this way, if you were a manager at Burger King and your assistant manager clocked out and was caught making out with a chick in the bathroom, what would you do about it?

I'm glad you weren't on the clock, but this definitely doesn't seem professional. It seems like you know this, or you wouldn't be asking this question. If you are interested in seeing this woman again, I suggest that you wait until she is no longer staying at your hotel. And, seriously, don't have sex until you're married.

What you do when not on your employer's time is your business. I would suggest a change of venue if you wish to continue to see the woman, however.
technically, you're behaviour isn't unethical, but you should consider the ramifications if another employee were to find out.The situation would be uncomfortable for you, and possibly damage your credibility as assistant manager. Two cliches come to mind: "lead by example" and " don't s**t where you eat".

If both the partners are willing, nothing wrong about it, as long as you are off the clock when dating her. I know someone closely who married the staff from a hotel he was staying as a guest at. they are happily married and have a family. all the best.

you are way, way wrong here. The tradition of an innkeeper to look after the guests, and be responsible for them goes back hundreds of years. You have violated that ethic in a very real and shocking way.

You must not go bacvk, and you better hoipe she doesn't report you. Your job is gone if so.

absolutely unprofessional.
were you invited up or did you just go to her room?
If I was your boss, I would have put you on notice & would have fired you if it happened a second time. Now - if you agreed to meet off the hotel premises, that would be a different matter.
What does the hotel policy manual have to say about that situation?

You are human...and it's not like you were her doctor!!! OF course it's ok!! In fact I give you Kudos for getting some nookie like a gentleman! I would say that attraction is attraction and as long as you can't use your position to make her feel she MUST make out with you then you go boy!

It is indeed rather inappropriate, although you are both adults and you are free to do what you want. It's just the fact that the hotel could get a name it doesn't want to have that would get you fired if anybody found out.

If she "does" it for you, then GO AHEAD! I support you. I would do something like that if I found an attractive girl that was willing to make-out with me (if I ever find one! lol)
