I'm not quite sure what you are asking. Poachers are a threat to wildlife. Just look at the Bushmeat trade in Africa for examples.

I think its not a good thing... But, in the bible it says, we can eat meat, that have both split hoofs, and chew its cud..And fish that have scales and fins, only.... I could really go into this subject with you, alot, but, I'll shorten it by reading the book of Deuteronomy.. Clean & unclean foods, exceptable foods... And it all makes sense... Poachers, make all kinds of money, by killing inocent elephants, without any kind of pain killer, first just for their ivory! Breaks my heart. Then, you have tons of boats all over the world crab, and lobster hunting.... Did you know all crustations, are there, because God put them there to clean the oceans, floors, and people who kill innocent monkeys, for their brains, that sell them as an afadesiac!! Its all cruel and just flat out insane!! Animal cruelty activist need to get more involved, is all I can say about that!! Because, its with Tigers skins, you name it they'll poach it for money, without a care about the poor animals!! Sad world we live in isn't it ???!!!!!

The more species that are killed off ,affect the rest one the environment world.
Less meat for meat eating animals and the animal will be stressed and won't have as many babies. Less babies, more likely exstinction.
