Ask around, your friends who have similar beliefs as you, your primary care physician, you could probably even call the hospital you wish to birth at and ask some of the floor nurses, since they see the OBs and their bedside manners. Remember, you can see whoever you feel comfortable with, even if it means seeing several OBs. Make a list of questions you have and ask at your first visit, things that are important to know is who will be delivering you; you OB or the on call doctor in the practice.
Good luck!

You could go to some of the clubs around your area for Lamaze or play groups (whatever is available in your area) and ask the women there for recommendations.
You can also check Federation of State Medical Boards to see if any serious problems have been reported on your doctor. http://www.mdnationwide.org/choose_a_doctor.htm
Make sure your doctor is Board Certified, and that his or her respective field of specialization is listed, by consulting the American Board of Medical Specialists official directory of specialists, published by Marquis Who’s Who. The ABMS directory is available at most public libraries, as well as hospital, university and medical libraries.
Hope this helps-- this is what I did to find the best and I did not regret doing the legwork.

You could start off by calling the local Hospitals and ask them for the names and phone numbers of some of the OBGYNS.
Then call the ones they give you and ask them if they are accepting new paitents.
Good luck.
