Good Question.
I was a Police Officer. many years. If I shot a man, it was self defense. HE made the ultimate decision, not me.
Now. Jesus said: If you even think of lust, you commited adultery.
If you even wish a person dead, you killed them in your heart.
A Police Officer does not have KILL in his heart. ( I won't speak for all of them). just me.
Jesus Christ Himeslf is for capital punishment. How could you think He isn't for self defence?
is killing wrong? lets see...........
Is killing terror leaders wrong?
The Detroit Free Press
A very, very good question found there. Let's see what is again happening: “Suicide attacks push limits when the bombers are kids” – [Michael Matza – Knight Ridder newspapers]. We were all shocked at what happened there. “Palestinian youth believe that if killed fighting for Islam, they will go to heaven and delight in the company of beautiful virgins” – [World Magazine]. And here you see Hussam Abdu, a 16-year-old boy who had that bomb strapped to his body and he gave up. He did not want to die. Well, “The U.S. blocks U.N. Security Council rebuke of Israel. [USA Today, Bill Nichols & Barbara Slavin]. you know, i am absolutely shocked that they're using children to commit suicide in order to promote their terrorism.
A sheik, Ahmed Yassin, trained these children and they put him to death and everyone is complaining now. Wait a minute! Don't you believe the Bible? The Bible says in the Noahic Covenant, “Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by him shall man's blood be shed”, Genesis 9:5,6. Under the Mosiac Covenant, Exodus 20 verse 13, “Thou shall not kill”. The Hebrew there is murder. Turn the page. “He that smites a man so that he dies shall be put to death", Leviticus 24:17.
This man was training these little children to put bombs in their body and this kid says, “They gave me $25 and told me I'd have 72 virgins”. What would a 16-year-old do with them? He probably wouldn't know what to do. How sad. Yet this man who was killed was behind all of this. What did you say, Jesus? In Mark 9:42, “Whosoever shall offend one of these little children that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea.”
Now, that sounds like capital punishment to me. You drop a guy into the sea and he's gone. And the policemen and military men are ministers of God and they bear not the sword in vain, Romans 13:14. That's not for peeling potatoes. I say murderers should be put to death. Even some of these juveniles who are killing everyone around this country.

Do you really want to kill someone? Or are you asking a sincere question - using an example? Anyhow, first, you need to be more knowledgeable about "hell". Hell is no fiery tormented place, as so many Christians are believing. I guess the churches teach you that? The bible does talk about hell, but it's not in the literal sense. Hell is literally - the ground. Think about it, is it better to worry about being tormented forever in fire, or about knowing how loving our Grand Creator is? God did not intend for us to die. But since we do, he made a way out. Since Jesus died for us, we have the opportunity to be resurrected back to earth (Psalms 37:10, 11). Since the righteous and the unrighteous will be resurrected back to earth, then they will learn about God's loving qualities and how he forgives us. As for killing someone, you would just live with your own consequence. God would not punish you for it, the police would. When you eventually die, it's up to God if he thinks you are deserving to be resurrected back to life on earth in a beautiful paradise. It's a free gift from Him. Police who kill people, rapists who rape people and so forth...we know what right and wrong is, as to what the motive was and the desire, only God knows, literally. So it's up to him to do the judging of ourselves and if he deems a person worthy then they will get life, if he deems them unworthy, then they stay dead - asleep forever. Only God can read the hearts of man.

Asking if you would go to Hell, tends to prove premeditation. We cannot bargain or play "Let's Make A Deal" with God. The first set of written laws, (the 10 Commandments), stated "Thou shalt not kill". In later revelation, (the act, not the Book), God explained that the penalty for murder was "a life for a life". This was even extended to animals who killed human beings.
You killing someone does not mean that God will not forgive you but the fact that you are trying to find a loophole, prior to commission of the act, leads me to believe that you know that this act is wrong, and it would be a sin to do so. It would also be a sin to gossip or slander or cheat or lie. God doesn't deal in degrees of sin. He merely tells us that all of us have sinned and fallen short of His glory and that Jesus, His Son, is the way, the truth, and the life and that you won't get to Him any other way. In order to do that you have to repent of your sins. This means to be genuinely sorry for what you have done. For the act, not the consequences you receive. (Such as the death penalty?)
You cannot be genuinely sorry if you are already planning your escape route. Remember, God knows all your thoughts and motives.
Policemen occasionally have to fire their weapons, and sometimes criminals die. Most cops never fire their weapon in a 30 year career. This is not premeditated murder. It is the act of a guardian of society protecting all of us from harm. Much different from "killing a guy", don't you think?
You, my friend, are playing with words and trying to make God into a namby-pamby nice guy who is someone you can play with. Don't be fooled. God is mighty...He is strong...He is righteous...and He is going to judge us all for who we really are on the inside, not who we try to fool everyone (including Him) into believing we are.

first we have to know If you have ever accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? If the answer is yes, the yes even if you Kill someone you will go to heaven. Here's the kicker though, if you have truely been saved then you shouldn't want to do those things. the gift of salvation is erternal, the Bible is very clear on that look at John 3:16, I was in the Marines and served in combat and have taken others lives, but I honestly with all my heart know that the Lord understands it was war, not a personal vendetta. God does forgive everyone, but we have to first come to him and kneel before Him to ask for that forgiveness. God knows our motives and our inner most desires of our heart, you can't fool God or lie to him because He already knows, he just wants us to humble ourselves and come to Him for all of our needs. I hope I've helped, if you need further info email me!!
I'll keep you in my Prayers!!

There is a difference between murdering someone and killing some one. But even if you kill Someone forgiveness is available for all sins.
The bible is clear that murder is wrong. However killing is supported when there are circumstances that are appropriate.
Murder is when you deliberately plan on taking the life of someone one who is NOT a threat to you, others, society or the government or as punishment for heinous crimes. Killing on the other hand is when you take the life of someone who is a threat to you others society etc.
in the bible it says that the government "bears the sword" ( a reference to capital punishment etc in relation to criminals and the use of force in a war by government agencies and branches like the military) to punish those who are evil .
The scripture also indicates that god oversees governments and that all powers exist because he allows them. I think that means that he allows various governments to go to war with other nations in order to overthrow evil governments and officials.

see killing is not ur duty, but its a duty of police to stop crime, and if police kill some innocent people, before god take any action i think law will take some action, if law is powerfull in ur country, there is no hell no heaven its all created by us, just because we scare to do wrong things, understand, what ever u will do wrong and good things result will come in this world and u will face it, u dont need to go for hell or heaven for this,

Sweetheart, God forgives all who ask for his forgiveness........If you would kill someone without intent, I am POSITIVE that God forgives.....For serial killers and such, I believe that we do these things for life lessons and choose in a previous state to do so....This way we can inform the general public about the terrible things that happen and this is a part of our perfection journey.....Not to say that I am not disgusted by things of that nature that happen in life, but have you EVER asked yourself why someone would kill another human being or why accidents happen???? Leaves some food for thought, eh????

If you kill someone you will be punished, it's like action and consequence. God will forgive you, but only if you are TRULY sorry. It's also a premeditated sin, that's very serious. Police may kill people, but it's the condition of their hearts that determines their fate. If they are truly sorry, God will be understanding and forgiving.

Killing someone is not what makes anyone go to Hell. Why people go to Hell is because they do not believe that Jesus died for their sins and that he rose from the dead.

If the murderer says "Jesus, save me," he will go to heaven; if the cop does not, he will go to hell. What they actually do otherwise is totally irrelevant.
So sayeth the book of mythology.
