no u really shouldnt bcuz i've been in that situation and now me and my best friend are no longer friends.my best friend dated my ex and she knew i still liked him even though i told her i didnt. so my advice to u is to ask your best friend and make sure he doesnt still like her before you and his ex start dating!

i did and her ex has been w/me for almost 2 months and shes happy about it cuz she cheated on him cuz she didnt really like him.
