You can eat a lean hamburger, but instead of a bun, eat it with lettuce. You cut down on soda, junk food, fast food, fried food, etc. Then you drink a glass of water before each meal (so you're not so hungry), and cut down on snacks and desserts.

Then, you take up walking, exercising, etc. to burn off some calories.

Cut out anything that has trans-fat, partially hydrogenated oils, and a high sodium content.
Cut out soda including diet. Cut out the margarine, instead go back to butter and the real fats. Its the trans-fat and partially hydrogenated oils that makes everyone big. The high sodium content keeps your body bloated by retaining water.

Drink lots of water . It will refresh your system.

If you don't see an improvement based on that alone, then you really might be overeating and your weight might be caused by an emotional problem.

Pair that with exercises and you should see a noticeably difference in three months.

Exercise a lot! And bake your chicken and food without the fatty grease. Go out and jog, bike ride, go to a fitness center, swim, and just exercise like crazy. Eat healthy, but make Friday's your pig out night. Not a lot of food just a small junk meal. And also eat salads. It gives you a lot of nutrients.

And get some yoga tapes, and some tae bo tapes or dvds to enhance your workout as well.

I love hamburgers, but have triend the vegi burgers, and turkey burgers. I grill them, and have with lots of vegis on them. Also have whole grain bun. I eat lots of salads and fresh vegetables with them, I am lucky and am not a big fan of french fries. Do not deprive yourself of them if you like them, but only have once in a while.

depends on how much weight you need or want to lose...
1. high protein, low carb-- lean fresh meat (fresh, not processed) and fresh veggies, nothing white (flour, sugar, etc) and excersize.
2. if you have a lot (over 30lbs)--medical weightloss--chiro/med center, dr sophia fountis, nw corner of the 101 and shea blvd--amazing results--nothing goofy like buying prepackaged food, tricks,etc..
hope this helps : )
