good point.
i am of the beleif that everyone sins, but that does not neccerilly mean religous aboslution is required.

The concept and term forgiveness is sweeping.
The pychological and mental health can benifit from a sense of closure for action taken throught our lives.

With regards to god, the is no need for forgiveness as the devine plan was always free will.

Atheism is not a sin but the atheist is. Scripture says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Bottom line, all men that have ever lived, but one, were or are sinners. Sin is a condition and not the result. The atheist fails on both counts and the Scripture says, "The fool has said in his heart there is no God."

Everyone needs forgiveness. Atheism is a symptom not a sin. Sin is a human condition which is expressed in wickedness (that is overt acts) and unrighteouness (expressed in thought).

Everyone is a sinner, whether they think they are or not. Atheists can believe what they want, but in reality unless they accept Jesus as their savior and ask for forgiveness, they will have to accept their fate.

If they're not a sinner why would you need forgiveness, regardless of religion? Perhaps you don't know that forgiveness is for SINNERS not non-sinners. Dumb question if you ask me.

"Sin" is defined as disobedience to God.

If a person does not acknowledge God's authority over him, he cannot sin, and is in no need of forgiveness, or repentance.

The only people who will be in heaven are atheists. They are the only people who live by faith and do not sin.

Everyone is a sinner. It doesn't matter if they believe in God or not. There is simply no one on the earth who doesn't sin.

A real Christian would doubt that there is anyone (Atheist, Christian, Jew or Hindu) who is not a sinner (exception made for young children)

ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. If ALL (even atheists) have sinned, then all need forgiveness.

uhh.. from the christian point of view they probably do, but I would say, seeing as an atheist doesn't believe in god, I would assume they don't believe in being forgiven by him. I certainly don't think I need to be forgiven for doing nothing lol
