How do people know that Christianity is'nt just like any other religion throughout history?

If it is the only true religion, then that means that the rest of the world is going to eternal damnation?

That's the beauty of the human mind. Many people are able to completely block out logical questions such as this one.

I think that, if you're a good person, you'll wind up with a good afterlife (if such a thing exists). No one can prove anything conclusively about any religion, so we should just do what makes us happy, as long as it's not harmful to ourselves or others.

Here's the problem with Christianity. Well, one of many, but I digress.

First off, it hasn't really been around very long (like, what 2K years?).

The ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, etc thousands of years ago held up their books to be the ONE true word of god(s), and today we read about them and chuckle at cute stories.

I'm wondering if in the future will our enlightened descendants read the Christian bible and chuckle at cute stories.

You also have to realize that the Christian religion is based on pieces of other peoples' religions that the Catholic church stole and put together to create their own version of the "True Faith".

That being said, you kinda have to go with your own interpretation.

Non believers or people of any other religion are dammned lot thats all.

Ok first its the only true religion because it reveals the one true God and this is tested in the Word . If you study it and look at history you will find it lines up. But more important and vital is that religion is about worshiping and having a relationship with God now here is where it gets good pay close attention; Spiritual warfare between demons and angels is going on all around us for our soules! Now the devil and his minions are why we have all the ugly things going including sickness and disease war and famine and every nasty thing on this planet, Now when these demons attack us the people they seak to destroy are lives, and HERE IT IS DONT MISS THIS---"IN THE BIBLE IT IS REVEALED THAT WE ARE IN A SPIRITUAL BATTLE WITH UNSEEN FORCES, AND GOD THROUGH THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE REVEALS WHO HE IS"THE GOD OF HEAVEN" AND WHAT HE DONE AND WHAT HE DONE WAS SENT JESUS TO DIE FOR YOU AND ME AND GIVE US ETERNAL, AND THAT EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AT THE NAME OF JESUS! Now when you percieve demonic activity coming against you you can take the NAME OF YOUR SAVOIUR JESUS AND COMMAND OUT LOUD FOR THE DEMONS TO LEAVE YOU ALONE IN JESUS NAME, now when you do this you will experience relief from the oppresive forces of evil all around us!
To sum it up God gave us the weapons of spiritual warfare and its done in prayer the study of his word which is where this "SECRET POWER AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE AGES IS HIDDEN IN THE NAME! try telling a demon to leave you alone in the name of allah or buddah they will not leave, only if you use the NAME OF JESUS! try it and see... Start in john in the new testament and see how jesus answered the demons and how he rebuked them and heald the people! thats what it all about!

There are many people who know that it is just like any other religion. They are trying their best to help their brothers and sisters who have stumbled and fallen but, it is going to be a long and difficult task because the lies have been entrenched for hundreds of years.

They "know" this because they have "faith." And, yes, they do feel that everyone else is going to Hell, which is why it is their Christian Duty to proselytize to you to try to keep that from happening, because, after all, God is merciful. (You can assume a tone of sincerity if you are a Christian or one of sarcasm if you're anything else, especially a secular humanist.)
