Seriously, he knew the Romans were going to flog the skin off of him, he knew he was going to dangle in the scorching sun for hours(in a loincloth no less!), in front of hundreds of people(women!)and be showered with abuse. He willingly walked into it! Maybe he had an ulterior motive beside 'saving us from our sins'. Maybe an exibitionist, too?

Given the restrictive society that was commonplace in those times, a person of Jesus' extroverted temperment would naturally want to find an outlet for release, and since he allegedly did not marry or visit the local hoochie mama and wiggling his own wankie was considered sinful , it stands to reason he would turn to S&M as a way to relieve the fustrations of his daily life.

If he did, he didn't use the "safe word." So we can assume that the answer must lie somewhere other than he was a showoff.

I actually respect this question, assuming you are being serious.

I would say no. Nobody ever referred to him as a kinky person, or even a sexual person. He had plenty of attention from others, so I think we'd have heard something about it.

The only piece of evidence that he WAS into S&M was that, as you said, it'd be a good reason to walk into such punishment and humiliation. But saving us from our sins, as you put it, would also be a good reason. So, they're both good reasons, but the second option fits in with the rest of the story!

What you're doing is taking a very small piece of the story and explaining it with something extreme. It's a classic example of taking things out of context.

This is all said with complete respect to the asker. This is just my opinion. Good question, though... made me think.

No, he suffered for us because he loves us. He was subjected to public humiliation. People gambled for his his clothes. They mocked him and yelled at him. Even people that enjoy some pain would not be into Scourging and wearing a crown of thorns in the hot heat. Then he had his hands and feet nailed to a huge cross and he was left to hang in the sun with no food or water. They left him to die of asyphyxiation.
We are very lucky he did all this for us. It was a terrible thing to go through for a man who only spoke of love and peace. It makes me sad that you would mock him.
Thank you Jesus.

I crack up with folks like you, you do it for attention, and it feeds ur sicko nature...but hey that is freedom of speech...Not even close, that was the torture of the day, it would have been something else had it not been flogging so know ur history and methods of torture that most criminals received in that day

How stupid. And get your facts straight - the Romans stole all His clothes, they didn't leave Him the decency of a loincloth.

Lol!!! Yeehaaaw!

I love this question. I can only say, that if it were me and "saving the human race" wasn't my primary objective, S&M would certainly be the next in line.

I think the term you are really shooting for is a masochist :) Nice line of thought though, I like it.
