The asker said he can't get canned pumpkin. It is readily available in the US. You can use butternut squash instead. Peel the squash, cook it until tender, mash it up and use it in the recipe posted above, except pumpkin pie is usually made with brown sugar.

Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:

1 can (12 oz.) evaporated skim milk
2 eggs
1 can (1 lb.) pumpkin
3/4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 9 inch prepared pie shell

Procedure:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Blend all ingredients well in a large bowl. Pour into the pie shell. Bake for about 1 hour. Pie is done when knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

NOTE: For a custard, omit the pie crust and bake in 8 individual custard dishes for 40 minutes at 375 degrees.
