Just like when people lay on thier sides, they are more likely to snore, breath heavily. It is a compression of her lungs, etc. If she doesn't move when it happens, then she is in no pain and it is not something to worry about. Many dog's noses are not wet all the time. Dryness level varies from dog to dog and season to season. The heat from her nose is also normal, especially for a corgi. Enjoy your dogs!

Did your vet run any tests? It could mean any number of things. Yes dogs can have allergies and asthma.

Does she breath the same way when sitting up? If your vet hasn't done an X-ray or an Ultra sound insist on it. If he won't do it find another vet.

If she's having difficulty breathing when laying down and hasn't had it in the past I would be concerned she could have a tumor of some sort putting pressure on her abdomen. Another possibility could be her heart.

Don't take no for an answer, your paying the bill, they work for you.

If the vet says she's okay, you probably have nothing to worry about.
