I just moved into a house with one of my frat buddies from college, naturally the first thing we did was build a bar. It's nice, it has two mini fridges, a few drawers, and an assortment of pitchers, shot glasses, 20 oz beer glasses, wine glasses, shakers, jigs, and some other essential bar accessories. My question is, what are the essential LIQUORS that most people think we should stock the bar with and what are your favorite drinks you make with them!!??

interesting reading. tells you how to mix. how to stock a bar. what to expect from you drinkers, etc...

A nice white wine and a nice red wine followed by the basic liquors (Rum, Whiskey, Vodka, Gin, Tequila) and then maybe a couple of liqueurs (Baileys Irish Cream, Frangelico). Also have a selection of mixers (sodas, Sour mix, Orange juice, Grenadine) to round it out.

Be sure to keep a variety of beers on hand, not just plain old domestic pilsner / lager like Bud & the like. I recommend some quality beers of different styles: Golden lager, light beer, pale ale, Stout, maybe a couple of others such as a wheat or Belgian style but these are the basics.

Okay,frat buddy,eh.That means you wanna have something for the ladies.Kahlua is a must,or if you can afford it,Godiva liquor,Green peppermint schnappes,(blend with ice creamfor Mudslides,grasshoppers,etc.)
Single Malt scotch-no mixing there.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed or the staple WT 101. And I don't mix it or chase it. That's just wrong and disrespectful to the hometown distillery.

You should keep Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Rum...Both of these are good with pineapple juice.
Some good vodka (absolut or finlandia) any juices,orange, grapefruit or cranberry are good with vodka.
