Make sure you keep a copy of the email the airline sends you to confirm your booking. The booking number is all you actually need. Depending on where you are flying you can use that booking number in a machine close to the normal check-in and avoid the lines. Otherwise when you check in they will look up your ticket on their computer using your confirmation number and issue you boarding passes at that time.
It's better this way because you don't have tickets to lose or forget. If you must have a ticket in your hands, they will mail you one for an additional fee.

It depends on who you bought it from, the airline, and the airport. Typically an electronic ticket is issued, so you just go to the airport with your ID, and they issue the boarding pass. They will email you a confirmation right after you buy the ticket. Sometimes they do mail the ticket to you.
There should be some instructions on the receipt regarding which method is being used. If they are mailed to you, there is often a charge of about $15 tacked on to cover the handling.

You'll get an itinerary from the travel site where you bought it, but your ticket itself will not be printed until you go the airport and show ID on the day of your flight.
Best wishes and God bless.

No, it's an electronic ticket. When you go to the airport for your flight, they will check you in (with your ID) and give you your boarding passes!

Usually you just need to print out your confirmation and take it to the airport with you - you should be able to just present that at the counter, they will print out your ticket for you there. Have fun!

Most modern airlines don't send actual tickets. For a small fee, they will print the ticket and send it to you...but...if you have it, you can forget it, lose it, etc.
Call the airline and double-check, but at most airlines you will just need to show your picture I.D. (and sometimes your credit card) when you check in.
