I am a christian also and anyone who doesn't live for God whether they know it or not worships Satan. Satan paints a pretty picture for everyone...not just non-believers...everyone. He wants us all to believe his lies and deceit.
I would have been one to follow him if it had not been for the many prayers of my mother.
I am telling my opinion, so all of those people who don't serve God don't get your underwear in a bunch. K?

Most people who call themselves Satanists are just people have have a loathing for the rigid rules and guilt that the BIble imposes. Most of them see Satan as a liberator, Not that I am one of them, but I do know a few Satanists.

I am Pagan. Pagans are people who worship the Old Pre christian Gods. SInce Satan is a Christian/Muslim concept. Pagans do not believe in him. They don't accept the idea of Absolute Good or Absolute Evil instead they feel that Nature is chaotic and possesses nurturing and harmful elements.

To be honest, I don't think so many people worship Satan as the media presents.

How many bona fide Satan-worshippers can you find?

Some "Satanists" choose to "worship" Satan because it irks Christians. Heavy-metal bands of the 80s can fit into this category. Some use Satan as an excuse to commit their own atrocities. Richard Ramirez can fit into this category.

To truly worship Satan, you have to believe in the Christian mythology. The pantheon specifically states that Jehovah is more powerful than Satan. So, if someone were to worship on the "winning side," he can never honestly worship Satan. To acknowledge the Biblical Satan as a legitimate power is to recognize that he is a lesser power.

Satan-worship should not be confused with the Church of Satan, which does not recognize the existence of the Christian Satan. Instead, it focuses on personal responsibility, self-actualized happiness, and the rejection of religious hypocrisy. As the organization sees itself as a natural enemy of the Christian church, it adopts the name of Satan, which the church claims is Hebrew for "adversary."

Any religion has its share of evil and nasty. Jehovah himself has been portrayed as evil and nasty. The Bible portrays him as genocidal (much of Judges), petty (trial of Job), and jealous (Genesis). In fact, some have argued that God and Satan are the same entity as there cannot exist a being as powerful as God that does not have a dual nature of good and evil within itself.

Some people worship Satan because it shows their pure hatred for God. I myself am an anti-christ and don't believe in either. But that is why. They like to express themselves though evil thoughts and evil ways. Satanism is a religion to let ones self be free the way humans were intended to be. Life with no rules. Complete self indulgense.

For the most part, especially with adolescents, its just for the sake of being different. Some claim it for a type of self empowerment, however that has been psychologically translated into self defacement.

Actually, the internet is a vauluable resource for this question. Run a search and you may just be amazed at the results you find.

People worship MANY things, You see the Devil as bad, but they see the Devil as good, as good as Your God...-shrugs- I think really it is just about a way of thinking.

They are NOT bad people just because they worship something diffrent than you doesn't mean they are bad or evil or anything else...-sighs-

I wish more people would just open their tiny little minds..
I am not a satinist.....I am a pagan, but Im sure you think that I am just the same....

Evil is in the eye of the beholder. It's a very subjective word.

But seriously, if you don't agree with your boyfriend's religion, if you find it to be so nasty, you shouldn't be with him. As a Pagan, I would never date someone who was offended by my religion, and I'd never date anyone whose religion offended me! You never should. Your religion gives you your basic attitude toward marriage and relationships, it's foundational. If your very ideas about good and evil are different, then certainly your ideas about love are different!

Satan is just another god that some people choose to believe in and maybe worship. Other religions such as yours like to vilify Satan to promote their specific god.

Cause they think they're cool. Satanism doesn't mean that you worship the devil, though some certainly do. Most Satanists just use him as a metaphor.

because we want to. and sometime in our lives we've been hurt so badly that we gave up on our religion. We started to lose Faith in what ever religion we had and converted to Satanism. there can also be other reasons why people chose to be satanic. also its fun!!!!
