I beg to differ. But you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
Best wishes and God bless.

Drive, you are really not setting a case-proving example that it is possible for non-christians either. Perhaps if you spent more time studying the religions of the world and how their dogma ties in to human motivations and ethos through symbolism if not fact, and less time poo-slinging, you could present a coherent argument as to why christianity in specific is flawed.
Right now you are just doing a textual equivelent of "your momma" against their doctrine as a whole. If you have an opinion, take the time to know it inside and out and be able to support it.

That is indeed an opinion. I could just as easily say that you can't be intelligent and also an athiest. There is a ton of evidence against materialism and totalitarianism, but I won't bore you with that here.
I think a bigger issue is your desire to knock on other people's beliefs? Why would you post this question? The only reason I can think of is to make people angry. I tell you what, Drive. You go ahead and do whatever you need to do to make you feel better about yourself, and if that means dogging on others to make yourself feel smarter, have it, brotha!

I'd disagree, there are tons of intelligent Christians. However, not many of those are able to think critically about their own religion, which to atheists/agnostics makes them appear... not too smart. Very few intelligent people I know who started off as Chrsistian, and thought it through clearly ended up as Christians, but that doesn't mean that those who stayed religious were dumb or anything.

Coming from an intelligent agnostic, there are indeed some very intelligent Christians out there. But there are also many stupid ones as well, just like everybody else.

Even I have to disagree with this one. Intelligence does not imply skepticism, it merely implies capacity for complex thought.
There are many brilliant Christians out there. They simply aren't as inquisitive about their faith as you might expect. Even a lot of brilliant people need the crutch religion offers, and many just partake for the social aspects.

If you think that, please read on these famous quotes by Albert Einstein:
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
"When the solution is simple, God is answering."
"All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom."
"I want to know God's thoughts, the rest are details."
I guess Einstein was a knucklehead according to you?

Care to match IQs with this Christian?
BTW, Einstein was not a Christian, but he did believe in God. Guess that makes him pretty dumb, huh?

Do you mean just fundamentalists or are you including liberal Christians?
