Lack of apathy? LOL You have got to be completely joking, right? There is an overwhelming amount of apathy in the states. All you have to do is read some of the post here.

For example, today I answered one about homeless ppl and the 'apathetic' ppl were answering saying, "they r losers and need to get a job".

I'm sure this is just a trick question. Apathy is the problem with the USA right now.

That is a very interesting question.

A lack of apathy?

Apathy could be defined in various ways.

Who cares?

That is one way to define apathy.

Seeing a problem and thinking someone else should fix it...could be wisdom...or it could be apathy...

A lack of apathy?

Maybe there is a problem and the wrong person is trying to fix it...

but a lack of apathy...I don't see it....

Strange question. A lack of apathy suggests two things. One, that apathy is something to be desired and two, a lack of it is a bad thing.

But let me answer the question I think you meant:

There is too much apathy in the US. Republicans eager to support Bush are apathetic about the lies Bush has told. They think even the Pentagon is wrong when they are told there were no weapons in Iraq.

Democrats like Joe Lieberman dont want to admit they are wrong about Iraq, and continue the tired notion that we are safer with Saddam gone. Saddam is a bad guy, but there are many worse and we did not go after them...

Some Republicans say that gay marriage is a threat to heterosexual marriage when that argument is absurd.

In short, the powers that be "Republicans" have us worried about gay marriage, the price of oil and welfare recipients while they hide the true story of the complete nightmare that Iraq is.

Apathy? Is that the word you're looking for, or do you mean empathy?

Apathy is a lack of emotion... o.O Because if that's the word you do mean to use, then I think there's too much apathy and not enough empathy. =D

No, I find people to be very indifferent. Most citizens do not care enough to know or learn the truth. They are willing to be led by the media as it is easier than studying. They do not vote, but complain about who is elected. If they vote, they know next to nothing about who they are voting for. There is plenty of apathy, just no patriotism.

No, there is apathy in the US, just look at the voters turnout in the off year elections, less than 25% of registered voters voted. And there are those who did not even bother to register to vote.

Apathy:

1 : lack of feeling or emotion : IMPASSIVENESS
2 : lack of interest or concern : INDIFFERENCE

Do I think there is a lack of a lack of interest or concern in the US?
