Yes there's a way to strip it. They sell a solution to strip the dye. I did it before. It turns your hair into this orange color but you will have to redye your hair after stripping it because the solution is not an actual hair dye.

USE A GREEN BASE COLOR TO COUNTER ACT THE REDDISH ORANGE TONES. BE SURE TO USE A LEVEL CLOSE TO YOUR NATURAL. I SHOP AT SALLY'S THEY HAVE SWATCHES THAT WILL HELP U DETERMINE YOUR LEVEL. DON'T GO TO DARK TRY TO GET CLOSER TO YOUR NATURAL. BUT IT ALWAYS PAYS TO GO TO A PROFESSIONAL THERE IS MORE TO IT THAN IT LOOKS AND YES I AM A HAIRDRESSER. GOOD LUCK HOPE IT TURNS OUT WELL FOR YOU AND CONDITION WELL AFTER WORDS. IT ACTUALLY DOESN'T HURT TO PUT AN OUNCE OF CONDITIONER INTO THE COLOR. OLD HAIRDRESSERS TRICK. HOPE THE BEST FOR YOU. REMEMBER NATURAL IS USUALLY BEST, AND SUBTLE CHANGES NOT DRASTIC ARE USUALLY YOUR BEST BET.

all you have to do is just dye it a lighter color, or just wait till it fades.
