I'm not a Baptist, but I believe in creation over evolution and I believe that the most accurate translation is the King James Version. There are many passages missing from the other versions, however the basic message is still contained in most of the other versions.
Never endorse the book "The Message " by Eugene H. Peterson, it does not contain chapter and verse and contains whole paragraphs that are not in Scripture. One man's opion on how he thought the Bible should have been written.

Yes. I am an independent Baptist. I believe in be saved by the Grace of God, through Faith. I believe that Jesus died, and was buried, and rose again on the third day. I have the 1611 KJV Bible. That is the true word of God. Jesus is the living word, and the Bible is the written word.

I left the Baptist label behind. I don't see why anyone would take the KJV over any other version. Can you explain that to me? In sensible terms? Also I believe in creation, but I also believe in microevolution.
