Okay from very personal experience, My husband and I started of as friends. You need to look into how strong of a friendship you have first. If you aren't that close then it probably isn't a good idea. But if you look to each other about everything and spend a lot of time together then go for it. This is how it happened with us- He asked me to a movie at his house and we watched a Disney movie together. I didn't now if he liked me or not because he had plenty of chances to kiss me but didn't. So in the middle of his sentence I kissed him. We have been together ever since. I Know I am older than you but we started out at the same age you are. I hope this will help you.

If you are unsure, maybe you should wait it out a little while longer to see if she makes her signals more clear. If you don't feel like waiting, just ask her to the movies or something that is an obvious date and see how she reacts. If she's up for it, during the movie, maybe try holding her hand. Girls usually don't send mixed signals, you'd be able to tell. :)
PS. I felt the same was as an almost teen. What do adults know anyway. :)

I am a 12 year old girl, and I would probably want to be asked out casually and normally. For example, if you are discussing your favorite ice cream shop or amusement park, you may want to casually say, "Hey, would you like to go there sometime?" Plus, if you were wondering, girls like guys who are shy, athletic, funny, not obese or anorexic, and willing to admit things he likes, even if they are not popular. And, yes, I hate to admit it, but they should probably be cute, too. Just casually ask her out, and don't be nervous. Teenage girls aren't as incredible as they seem. They have a lot on their minds. ;)

well sorry to say but if you never see her or hang out with her then she prolly doesnt feel the same way about you and you might get let down....but who knows start out slow..ask to hang out with a group of friends and then later a movie and when its time if you think things have changed then make your move....good luck!!

mitr says... you should ask her out... will tel you how to do so...
1. give her a lovely card/flowers saying that you have lost your heart and you want her to search for it, along with you.... the best place to start the search is
2. call her and tell that it is a total emergency.... you are stuck with something and you need her help to get out of it... then tell her to come to ,....
3. Or just simply ask her out..... "may i have the pleasure of dating her highness, with her due permission???".... say this while going down on your knees and with a red rose in your hand.... it will impress her cos girls like men treating them royally....
wish you good luck.....
ciao

its not the safest thing to date good friends at your age things change so much that you might lose her in a break up not only as a girlfriend but as a friend so you can date at that age but be careful alot of unsureity are at that age

Just talk to her a lot, and one day say something like "Say, would you like to go to the movies with me?" or something like that.
Good luck.
