If so, do you give an answer, if it is going to be the same as somebody else's previous answer? Also, do you read other answers before automatically voting for your own?

There are some questions where it won't matter whether my answer is the same as others'. In that case, I just post away without necessarily reading them.

In other cases, I sometimes check before or after I give my answer. If I have given the same answer as someone else, I'll usually delete mine.

I don't do much voting, but when I do, I don't always vote for my own answer.

Yes I do, and if everyone is saying what I think I usually go on to another. Or sometimes I will throw in a opinion that might not even be my belief but should be out there for consideration.
I have never voted on my own answer

I read what other people's answers are first in case i write the same thing as them. I don't like to give the same answer because that's dumb so i either add more onto my answer or i make mine seem different in a way.

I try not to so that it won't change my opinion before I post it. Sometimes after I answer and I read the others, I do change my mind or have more insight.

I never read anyone else's answers. I don't want my answer to be influenced at all by what I may or may not read.

Anything I answer is strictly my opinion.

i think that even if your answer is the same, you can still answer it because you can add something personal. i did not know that you could vote for your own answers. good to know. thanks.
