I have a really pretty table cloth, and then a square picture frame that you can put pictures in on four sides, it holds 8x10 so instead I put in my kids art work. I change it out for the holidays and have them draw something accordingly. Also during the school year if one of them gets a certificate or something special like that I can put that there so we can see it often. I got it at garden ridge, which is like a home decor place. the middle is hollow so I sometimes put flowers in the middle, but usually it is just empty.

I collect milk glass, so I have 2 milk glass candleholders and a big milk glass bowl, which I fill with different things according to the seasons. Oh, and it's on top of a table runner. Pretty traditional and boring. My sister in law keeps her formal dining table "set" all the time. My older sister has a silk floral arrangement and napkins and placemats. My younger sister can't find the top of her table--lol!
