i LOVE curves!!

You know how when you go to a gym, there are all those stupid "gym people" there- the ones that don't need to spend every minute there, the ones that look at you like.. pfft, yeah right... the ones that go to hook up with people, the ones that take all the machines and good spots?

there's NONE of that at curves!

there's only women and you can come in in holey sweats and be accepted and welcome! women of ALL sizes are there and they laugh and talk and get to know one another as you rotate the equipment and stuff...

i found it works so well because it doesn't feel like going to the gym... you know, something you HAVE to do... it's like getting together and meeting different women and hanging out and talking... but instead of eating ice cream and watching a movie, you're drinking water and working out!

honestly, at first, i was anti-diet when i started...
but after a little bit, you start... FEELING healthy and good and active...
so then you want to keep that feeling going and make smarter food choices and stuff...

it's awesome and i totally recommend it!
it took time, but i lost the weight i wanted to- and i've kept it off since!

I go to curves here it is a slow pace experience but it works for me since all i use it for is to unwind from a stressful day. It is a good place to go though if you are trying to lose weight but you also need to watch what you eat and cut back on some stuff. It is a little cheaper than becoming a member to a gym. i pay only like 15 bucks a month here where I am at to be a member.

I was with curves for a while, but hardley ever went there. I was bored to death at the repetitive, lets all go in a circle 3 times around the room. Also, the hours were not really helpful. I went there on a Saturday about 1 pm and they were CLOSED.

It's fast and easy for people who are not regular exercisers. That's its strong point.

It's weak points are that you have to stick to their routine which gets boring and repetitive and can even lead to stress injuries.

So its a good idea for beginners, but for those hoping to establish a lifetime habit, they're going to get bored really quickly.

Better to go to a real gym and pay a trainer for a few lessons to get you started.

You'll be happier and likely make better progress.

As to diets..you really can't think diet, you need to think new eating habits. You should pick one you can live with, but the best one for fast loss and good health at the same time is Atkins.

It is specifically for women. I know several ladies that go there and love it. They can have a fun work out with insecurities for a low price. Remember that like other places, it can do a lot for you in mind and body if you give it a chance to.

Good luck losing weight. Don't follow the fad diets and watch your health.

If you aren't Christian, beware. Curves is a "Christian" company and they reserve the right to play religiously inspirational music and they won't advertise this fact.

Two of my co-workers go their and they love it. They say it is not intimidating like the other gyms. They can work at their own pace.

One of my co-workers lost 30 lbs going to curves and changing her diet.

I have heard of Curves. When I was visiting my Aunt in Puerto Rico she would go there and she still does.
