I have a guy friend who will call me atleast once a day (somedays it's atleast twice) and/or will email me/send me messages online. I've known him about 3 years. He's really honest with me and sometimes he slips and makes a comment that leads me to think he likes me (I told him yesterday when he came to visit that he smelled nice and he said it was a cologne he saves for special occasions). He has told me twice in our friendship that I would be perfect for him and we have a lot in common. He's a "good guy" and really sweet, but I'm worried he may say things to me just to be nice. Also, he's been going through a rough time the last year and I wonder if I'm just someone to lean on.
I'm wondering if he likes me or not. I would ask, but I don't want him to feel pressured if he's not ready (referring to that rough time). Anyone have any experience with this?

Trusting someone enough to lean on them says something doesn't it? When in doubt try it out, what do you have to lose? If he's just saying things to be nice it'll come out pretty quick.

well i do. if you have know him for 3 years you may be throwing the friendship down the drain by dating. if something happens the whole we can still be friends line doesnt work. ive lost a few close friends by dating them and breaking up they are always hard then its acward and gets weird

Yes, it appears that he does like you. You don't need to ask him, just ask him out casually, as if it was just one of your girl friends. Maybe to ice cream, or a movie or something. Then, when the time comes, you might get a kiss or something. :) good luck

rough times make you stronger and it sounds like he is obviously interested-yes men are complicated and dont always show or say what they feel. take that leap and tell him how you feel and ask him if he would like to give it a shot- you have nothing to loose and everything to gain- good luck!

I think he likes you,I think is trying to find out if you like him.( Do you?) If you want to further your relationship, ask him out or cook him dinner,or start to call him. I think he is afraid of your rejection.Show him you like him, Be well , Miss Molly

well it's obvious he likes you there's no doubt bout that.... if he looks at you when your not looking..thats a good way to tell he wants you :P

one easy way to tell is if he looks away when you look at him.
