What do you think, I show up at this girls house pretending to sell hogies with my venture crew, and halfway through I initiate an ask out conversation.
Note: I have seen the girl in school and she has seen me, I think she even winked and waved at me at the beginning of the year.

If you want to do what you have planned, then do it.
If you want to use someone else's idea to meet her, then do it.
The important thing is you do something or you will never go anywhere with her.

Just go up to the girl in school and intiate a conversation and then, ask if she would be interested in going out with you...
If she says yes, you have a date. If no, then look for some one else.
Now, if you "really" want to ask this girl out, send her some poetry that you have written about her...and if she likes it, your in! But, if she gives it back, then she already has a boyfriend...

Ask her out. If you don't ask, the answer will always be no. If she says no, at least you will never wonder would she have said yes. Go for it.
