Hmm I guess these people who are trying to answer your question just don't have an imagination... I think the Library is romantic... the architecture is very nice the library grounds have fountains and gardens there a really nice restaurant called Café Pinot (French) this place is very romantic at night (I went there for my birthday in April it was rainy yet very romantic) there’s plenty so see and take a stroll down the street it pretty safe I walk there by myself all the time never felt scared or threatened. You have the stairs to the North close by right across the street which are cool… you have the Bonaventure to the North West for drink very romantic (Bonavista lounge) just walk around be alert and you’ll be OK… By the way California Plaza has concerts on the weekend nights that’s an awesome place to visit and that’s about 2 blocks north and very romantic.

Romantic? When did a library start becoming a lovers lane? OR do you mean can you find love in a librabry, yeah possibly. BUT you don't go into libraries as a pick-up spot....that's what bars are for.

Yes. It's a gorgeous building. There is a swanky restaraunt out front in the garden, too. It's a great place to take a date, especially if they've never been there and are into exploring the city.

Not exactly. Mostly it is sort of dangerous. A lot of homeless and undesirables hang out in there. There are lots of other great places to go in LA, but generally downtown isn't one of them
