he probably found out u liked him and now he feels awkard...
it might be that he likes u or that he doesnt want to give u the wrong impression

If he doesnt, then it could be that 'its over' between you. You didnt say how old you are, but, crushes come and go, and there will be many by the time you are 18...

when your not seeking their attention it some how is given try your best to casual around your crush and if it doesnt happen between you to you will still live because
