So my friend set me up with a guy who told her that I am hot, reall cool, but too skinny". I'm not huge but I don't think I'm anorexic skinny. I am 5'5 and about 130 pounds. What the heck?

Being the first guy to answer this question, let me give you a man's perspective.

Like most women, most guys have their preferences and some are rather picky about it. You simply didn't fit that particular guy's preference. You're not going to accept that simple answer, and that's natural for women who get turned down like that.

Most women are very self-concious about themselves. A positive comment about your hair, weight, clothing, etc. could make you feel like a million bucks. On the other hand, a suggestion of even a small imperfection could cause you to loose sleep for a week. That in mind, you're taking the comment about your lack of weight too personally.

YOU'RE OKAY.... There's nothing wrong with you. Don't start eating bon-bons and gain weight just to be perfect in that guy's eyes. Instead, find another guy that will like you for who you are. With you being 5'5" and ONLY 130 lbs, that shouldn't be a problem for you... ;-)

Good luck to you!

I'm really sorry. I've been there, girlie! Don't get mad over someone who didn't appreciate you for you, instead of your size! I was friends with this guy (very cute and nice) for a long time, and he never commented about my size (I'm 5'1 and 100 pounds) but then when I asked him out, he wrote a note saying that I was too skinny. I hated it, but then I realized that I should look for someone who doesn't care about how little I am. Hope you have a nice day! :)

i've been told that same thing (i'm 5"11 and about 125) and of coarse it hurt but what i learned is that there will always be assholes out there that have nothing better to do then put others down because they hate themselves-he's a jerk-you're doing yourself a huge favour by not being with that idiot! so drop his *** like a hot pot of rice-good luck (u can do it!)

well if you think that's bad i'm 5'11 and 112lbs. This guy sounds like a loser it's the same kind of sh*t people get for being fat, except people think since your skinny, that you don't mind hearing that crap, consider yourself lucky.

He's not worth it. I wouldn't think about him anymore because he's too picky, it u were a big , girl then he'd say ur too big, if u were a really tall girl then u would be too tal, so don't worry about him he's not worth i

Maybe he's in to bigger women.
Don't take it personally. He seems like an *** anyways.
